Deepen your musical connection

with Books, Blogs, Arrangements and Lessons.
I was seven the first time I touched a real guitar.  I remember my father saying, “I bought you a present, go check in your room.” I walked into the room, looked at the small acoustic guitar, and ran my fingers across the strings.  It felt like an entire orchestra had just played the opening chord.

My musical journey had begun…

Brent Robitaille is a Canadian music educator and composer who creates instructional books and learning resources for guitar and roots instruments. His work focuses on open tunings and fingerstyle technique, blending music theory with practical musicianship. His publications cover guitar, ukulele, mandolin, fiddle/violin, and cigar box guitar, making traditional and alternative styles accessible to adult learners.

Many of his instructional materials are organized as structured learning paths, helping players progress through techniques, concepts, and repertoire in a clear, practical sequence. One example is the Looper Guitar Learning Path, which outlines a structured progression for developing timing, layering, and musical control when using a looper pedal.
