FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BOLTON, Ontario, Aug. 16, 2026 — Kalymi Music has launched a new free Guitar Looper Hub built around the Kalymi Loop Method, a practical system for planning and arranging guitar loops as separate musical layers.

Created by Canadian music educator, author, and publisher Brent C. Robitaille, the hub brings together interactive practice tools, downloadable resources, timing exercises, drum grooves, books, lessons, and a structured Looper Guitar Learning Path in one place.

Rather than beginning with pedal controls, the Kalymi Loop Method begins with the musical arrangement. It organizes a loop around four decisions: structure, register, harmony, and timing. The method uses five functional layers — Riff, Bass, Chord, Rhythm, and Extra — so players can decide what each part contributes before recording it.

“Looping becomes much easier when you stop thinking only about the pedal and start thinking like an arranger. Each layer needs a job, its own musical space, and a clean way to connect back to the beginning. The Kalymi Loop Method gives players a simple framework for making those decisions.”

Inside the Guitar Looper Hub

The Guitar Looper Hub includes a set of free resources designed to help players understand and practise the method. A Kalymi Loop Method Legend explains the five layers and Loop Chart symbols. Two Parts Pages — Easy Minor Blues and Quartal to Four — show how complete layered arrangements can be written in standard notation and guitar tablature.

Players can also download a Blank Loop Chart for planning their own arrangements and a Guitar Looper Pedal Checklist covering setup, recording, overdubbing, and troubleshooting. Four practice drum grooves are included for rock, jazz swing, blues shuffle, and country.

The complete free Looper Starter Pack collects the method materials, Parts Pages, Loop Chart, checklist, and drum grooves into one download.

Interactive Tools for Timing and Layering

The hub also includes browser-based practice tools. Build the Loop lets players hear the five layers of the Easy Minor Blues individually or stacked together, making it easier to understand how bass, chords, rhythm, riffs, and additional textures interact.

The Seam Trainer focuses on one of the most important looper skills: closing the loop at the exact point where the next pass begins. Players hear a count-in, attempt the loop boundary, and receive approximate timing feedback.

The hub also introduces the Register Map, which helps players separate layers by musical function and range, and a section on circular harmony that explains how chord progressions can be designed to return smoothly to their starting point.

Part of the Looper Guitar Learning System

The new hub complements Kalymi Music’s Looper Guitar Learning Path, which organizes lessons and resources into a step-by-step route from basic loop timing and layering to complete arrangements.

It also connects with Robitaille’s existing Blues Guitar Looper Pedal Book, Jazz Guitar Looper Pedal Book, and Pop Rock Guitar Looper Pedal Book, which apply layered looping concepts across different musical styles.

The books, free resources, videos, interactive tools, and Learning Path now form a connected guitar-looping reference and practice system.
